About
Antoine is a highly experienced hand, wrist and peripheral nerve surgeon based in KwaZulu-Natal. Since 2011, he has been the principal referral surgeon within the KwaZulu-Natal state sector for complex hand, wrist and peripheral nerve conditions.
â
His clinical practice encompasses the full spectrum of hand and wrist surgery, including trauma and fracture management, arthroscopic and reconstructive wrist procedures, and the treatment of arthritic conditions affecting the hand and wrist. He has a particular expertise in complex peripheral nerve surgery, including nerve transfers, as well as the surgical management of spasticity and tetraplegia. Antoine also specialises in advanced deformity correction using cutting-edge 3D printing technology for patient-specific surgical planning and custom implants.
In addition to his clinical work, Antoine is actively involved in surgical education, research and academic presentations. His areas of special interest include the neurophysiology of spasticity and its surgical management, together with reconstructive techniques following complex peripheral nerve injuries.
